1. Sacramento River Watershed Roadmap
This project will produce a document that describes existing watershed management efforts and needed future actions – a “roadmap” for the watershed. Although assessments and management plans exist for portions of the watershed, a comprehensive examination of the entire watershed is not readily available. The Sacramento River Watershed Roadmap will fill this void. Included in the Roadmap will be a Watershed Condition Tracking Program to monitor watershed conditions. The document will be organized around the Watershed’s six sub regions. The Roadmap will:
  • describe existing resource conditions;
  • identify and describe existing watershed management plans (developed or under development);
  • identify and describe key issues facing the watershed and its sub regions;
  • identify existing organizational structure for conducting watershed management activities, and
  • describe a strategy for improving the health of the watershed overall.
