The Placer Nature Center’s (PNC’s) Watershed Explorations is a series of two classes: “Rivers and Ridges” and “Streamkeepers”. The goals of this project are twofold: first is to build watershed awareness
in students from Colfax High School; second is to educate the students on watershed issues and concerns, and ultimately inspire stewardship through the series of relevant experiences. Following completion of the classes, students will docent at PNC’s Watershed
Education Center, as well as make presentations to local high schools and civic groups.
