Journey through the Sacramento River Watershed
A copy of A Journey through the Sacramento River Watershed appeared in the October 11, 2008 edition of the Sacramento Bee.
The 16-page newspaper insert was created by the Newspaper in Education program at the Sacramento Bee in conjunction with SRWP and its partners:
- CALFED Bay-Delta Program
- Calif. Dept. of Fish and Game
- Calif. Dept. of Water Resources
- Calif. Resources Agency
- Calif. Waterfowl Association
- Dianne Kannenberg (Education Consultant)
- ICF Jones & Stokes
- Sacramento Stormwater Quality Partnership
- State of California
- State Water Resources Control Board
The insert includes great information about our watershed for both kids and adults.
Here are some numbers, provided by the Sacramento Bee at the end of October:
- Printed and distributed 263,582 student supplements to Bee readers on October 11, 2008. The total readership that day was close to 600,000.
- Printed and distributed 27,500 student supplements to 677 teachers at 406 schools on October 10, 2008.
- The teacher’s guide was downloaded by 710 teachers
